Coverage
Active-duty military families and retired military (served 20 years or more, and below age of 65) have access to our large network of providers throughout Texas and Louisiana. Coverage includes:
- Physician visits - primary and specialists
- Medical, surgical and hospital services
- Preventive care (Physicals, mammograms, immunizations, etc.)
- Maternity care
- Well-baby and well-child care
- Emergency room and urgent care
- Prescription drugs
- Mental health and substance abuse
- All other TRICARE® benefits (Including ambulances, skilled nursing, durable medical equipment, home health care and more)

Additional Benefits
Additional care for members of our plan includes:
- Added dental and vision discounts
- Vision care: Free annual eye exam for active-duty family members and every other year for retirees and their family members
- Vision discount: Discounts on glasses and lenses at select providers
- Dental care discount: Free initial dental exam and discounts on services at select providers
- Hearing care: Free annual hearing exam plus 20% off hearing aids at select providers
- Transportation: Transportation to covered medical services (up to 24 round trip, or 48 one-way rides)

Member Advisory Committee for US Family Health Plan
Objective
The Member Advisory Committee (MAC) exists to engage internal and external stakeholders in meaningful dialogue to improve the overall beneficiary experience at CHRISTUS Health Plan.
The MAC meets biannually and serves as a subcommittee of the Quality Improvement Committee, chaired by the Manager of Member Engagement and supported by the Member Engagement Department.
Purpose of the Committee
The MAC is an informational and collaborative forum designed to:
- Gather input from beneficiaries, advocates, community partners, social service organizations, community leaders, and providers
- Identify opportunities to enhance the member experience
- Strengthen connections between CHRISTUS Health Plan and the communities it serves
- Provide beneficiaries access to subject matter experts who can educate on:
- Health plan bvenefits
- Preventive health
- Wellness and health education topics
